Sliding Head & Fixed Head Compound CNC Lathe - KS-32
Designed to enhance high efficiency machining.
The Kuen Jeng KS-32 Sliding Head & Fixed Head Com-pound CNC Lathe combines various tool slides, main spindle, sub-spindle and rotating tools in one machine.
With such a machine construction, turning, drilling, tapping and side milling can be quickly performed. For complicated small parts machining the Kuen Jeng KS-32 is your best choice.
Now, with the additional Y2-axis,back milling on a part becomes easier.
KS-32S is with the function of Sliding Head&Fixed Head, and its main feature is the additional Y2 axis. The Y2 axis allows the rear side machining device to be moved up and down to strengthen turning & milling processing of workpieces’ reverse side. Moreover, we have chosen Fanuc controller with double control system (X1,Z1,Y1,C1,A1 and X2,Z2,Y2,C2,B2) for machining simultaneously.

  Sliding Head
 
  • ‧The spindle head moves on two linear ways with a large span design to achieve maximum stability
       and smoothness.
  • ‧The spindle head movement is driven by a servo motor for highly accurate positioning.
  • ‧A high precision spindle permits accurate machining and allows continuous, long time operations.
 
  Collet Chucking System(DIN 6343-35)
The machine adopts a collet type spindle, maximum clamping diameter is Ø32 mm, maximum clamping length is 300 mm.
 
  Automatic Bar Feeder (optional)
The machine is equipped with an automatic bar feeder that allows the machine to perform fully automatic operations. This results in labor-saving, increased efficiency and productivity.
 
  C-axis Contouring Function
  • ‧Both main and sub-spindle feature C-axis functions,
       allowing for contourmachining.
  • ‧Indexing accuracy for main and sub-spindle is 0.001°,
       providing highly accurate contour machining.

  Rotary Guide Bushing
Rotary Guide Bushing
The rotary guide bushing in the sliding head design may assure stability, machining accuracy and surface finish, especially when machining long workpieces.
The sliding tool structure features no guide bushing design, which minimizes the material length of residual, and saves machining cost.
  Pneumatic Brake
The main spindle orientation is equipped with an pneumatic brake
for assuring accuracy in spindle orientation.

A. Main Tool Slide
‧The main tool slide can be mounted with 6 O.D.
   cutting tools. Size of tool shank is 16 x 16mm.
‧Applicable for turning outside diameter of workpiece
   and cutting-off operations.

B. Rear Side Machining Device
‧The rear side machining device is used with the
   sub-spindle to perform rear side machining on a
   workpiece.
‧Capacity of machining device: 4 cutting tools, all can
   be fitted with power tools.
‧Machine standard is 2 power tools and 2 fixed tools.
‧Applicable for turining, drilling and tapping operations.
B. Rear Side Maching Device
‧Capacity of maching device: 8 cutting tools, all can be fitted with power tools.
‧Y2-axis travel / 100mm.
   
C. Fixed Tool Slide
‧The fixed tool slide is suitable for inside diameter
   machining.
‧Applicable for drilling and tapping operations.

F. Sub-Spindle
‧The sub-spindle is used with a rear machining device to allow

‧The standard speed of the sub-spindle is 4000 rpm. Upon
   request, a 6000 rpm sub-spindle is available(optional).
F. Sub-spindle
‧It features C-axis function for contour machining.
‧The standard speed of the sub-spindle is 4000rpm. Up on request, a 6000rpm sub-spindle is available(optional)

‧Coolant Flow Detectorr
The coolant flow detector is applied to detect when the coolant flow volume is inssuffcient. In case the detector is activated, an alarm will be triggered and machine stops automatically.
